Meat vs. Match has been out for almost a few weeks. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it helps community servers at all. Actually makes it worse, since now us Quickplay-eligible community server owners are lumped in with custom game modes, Orange maps, and instant respawn servers, among others.
Oh well. We'll keep moving along.
Here's what's new:
General pub and post-update stuff:
- Enabled native vote kick. No need to rely on me to kick people anymore! (However, I also did install Basic Kickvote Immunity, so all you regular users can't kick admins out.)
- Disabled the Map Voting Tweaks plugin, which allowed for native nominations.
It's been buggy for a while. I'll be fixing that someday. In the meantime, just use the
trusty old
sm_nominate
command. It does resolve workshop maps to their display names. - The SourceTiVo enhancement plugin is currently disabled. It depends on the SourceTV Manager extension, which I probably need to update. Might stop breaking things.
- New official maps!
- Sunshine: Removed workshop version, added bot support.
- Swiftwater: Removed workshop version, added bot support.
- Metalworks: Added bot support.
- Saw some asshats with unprintable names, so I whipped up this new Name Filter plugin to deal with them. (Also, yes, this machine does host a few of my personal plugins' git repositories now.)
- Cranked up the server restart interval to twice a day. Our new machine lacks swap space, but it does have double the memory. Shame that SourceTV leaks.
Bot navigation fixes:
pl_timbermill_rc4
- Bots shouldn't be running up against the first stage one-way door now.
- Bots will not idle in spawn.
pl_millstone_final
- Added navigation areas for BLU's final forward spawn. (It's walled off until the second-to- last point.)
Things that need doing:
- Navigation fixes:
pl_upward_abandoned
: Players getting stuck on a specific tree.
- Create a custom "Bots are Robots" implementation that plays nicely with End Round Prophunt and actually handles Spy disguises properly
